I've noticed on the dash there is a light that says 120 km/h. I've looked in the manual but couldn't find mention of it. The obvious answer would be be that it illuminates when you pass that speed, but that's not it.
Anyone able to explain it?

I did a little digging and it is: Overspeed warning in case of more than 120km/h for some of the Middle East countries.
Inactivated for the rest of the world.

Ah thanks for that... Good to know.
Didn't Japan had a warning system too for overspeeding? Remember seeing it in initial D ;-)
