    Cheapskate all-weather floormat

While I love the look and fit of the Weathertech floor mats, I just can't justify the purchase based on the amount of rain/snow we get in central Ohio. I was walking through Menards the other day and spotted this:

$5! I know it's a rear mat, and they have front ones for not much more that go under the pedals, but I wasn't sure it would fit well. I really just wanted something for horizontal part of the floor.

I turned it sideways, and think it works better this way.

I know it's no Weathertech, and it's not good enough for some parts of the world, but I think it'll perform just fine for my purposes.

Weathertechs are great for the soupy Seattle area, where I live, but if you stay mostly dry during the year this may just be the way to go!

That will go a long way in protecting the floor. Does it stay in place? I hope it doesn't slide around much.

It looks like it should. It has dozens and dozens of little spikes on the back.
