    diy sill protectors

    Hi everyone,

Did this a while back seems too be holding up really well. I had a few scratches on the door jambs and after touching them up i bought some "skateboard grip tape" cleaned the sills and cut/applied it to protect it from future damage.

Looks good functions good in my opinion.

Cost was $8 for 36x12" of "MOB grip tape"

Tip: the second picture where i drew lines, you must avoid this area with the tape. There is a seal on the door and this is where it hits.

Hi thanks for the positive feedback!

It holds up on skateboards awfully well, and I've not had any issues at all with it lifting or peeling. Worste case, i have an industrial size bottle of goo be gone and a well greased elbow.

I'll update the post if i have any issues, but i doubt it. I'm trying too remember how long its been on there, about a month maybe.
