Steering wheel illumination

Okay this has been bugging me.

In some official Mitsubishi pictures like this one, the steering wheel controls are illuminated with orange LEDs.



But in most other pictures, those buttons are just white.

Are these buttons illuminated in any part of the world? And if not, would it be possible to take the illuminated buttons from a Lancer or Outlander and swap them into the Mirage?

Can you post a picture? Do they have the white lettering?

Mine are illuminated too. I hadn't really noticed it before though. White lettering but show up as orange illumination when the vehicle lights are on.

Yup, my 2015 has orange speed & tach illumination also

Can you post a picture? Do they have the white lettering?

Are you saying you have those controls but can't see them at night?
I would expect that if you have the buttons on the steering wheel they should be backlit.
I can't imagine they would be there without.

The newer style backlighting for the tach and speedo surely looks easier on the eyes

I have the intensity turned down on mine and it's actually pretty nice

I just bought a 2018 G4 es and the steering wheel controls light up orange just like the speedo, tach and shifter.
