Thread: What did you do to your Mirage today?

  1. #2021
They often squeak under hard braking when grooved like that. I’ll Keep you posted as to how long a used shoe lasts. It’s not ideal but it’s better than metal on metal. Yes it’ll wear faster like this.

I had two decent used shoes that I threw on a really high mileage car today. Just for ****s I compared the used shoe to a brand new raybestos set. The used one had more meat on it. Attachment 23076

After MetroMPG's terrifying post on rust, I took the 2022 in for some Krown Oil. Hopefully they also get inside the front frame member.

I installed a pair of Hella Sharptones. Now the horn is actually useful at getting attention instead of the meep. I will post some pictures and a wiring schematic separately when I get some time.

I really have to remember to do this. I've been at my go-to wrecker for the last 3 Saturdays and completely forget to grab a dozen horns from old some old Cadillacs.

I may have to measure up some sway bars next time as well....

On my 2015 I installed a dual horn set out of a Cadillac, I couldn't find room for a 4 horn set.

I'm sure there's a bit of room for more than that.....

Maybe I missed the conversation on this somewhere? Did you buy 8 Mini Cooper rims for your Mirage?

I could live with summer/winter sets of tires on those rims. What size (diameter/width) are those rims?
