Today I thought I would swap the 14 inch wheels/tires from my turd bucket Miata onto the Mirage.
Why? Because I have some lightly used 165 LRR Enasaves on the Miata, and Mirage #2 came with 175 width Michelins that just don't seem to roll very well. Just wanted to see if I could detect any RR difference.
Nope! Center bore is too small on the Miata wheels.
Sadface.

Did two boring but essential (to me) things to my new acquisition:
1. Added a cheap ($32.00) center storage/armrest from Amazon for extra storage for the under-storage-d equipped 2018 and
2. Changed out the cheesy 'teenage boy racer" hub caps that came with the car for less cheesy hub caps.
Both added a bit of "me" to the Mirage, and I look forward to adding much more in the future

Hey, I have the same console! It's ok, it's a bit wonky and I would have liked it to be a little higher, without having to add some kind of pad on top. The cup holder/ashtray is functional, but feels cheap. If it was just me, I probably would not have it in the car, but my wife likes it and it's not horrible...
What're your thoughts/opinions on it? Did you screw it down?
It's ok if not perfect. I'm short so the height isn't an issue to me, but it does sit low. I put some thin rubber on the part that sits in the cup holder and it ain't budging thanks to it, so no screws needed here. Honestly, for the really low price, it's worth it.
