Yes, he don't follow the proper line and gone off track several times. I think mirage can do better and cut the 8s gap.
For the 'fast' driver you are right he had a poor line around the course.
More importantly, why do they have a baby seat in the front passenger seat? All infant safety seats - and vehicles - include warnings against this for the danger of injury or death due to airbag deployment. Something doesn't add up here.

I suppose if all the baby seats are props, that's one thing. The whole production comes across as a silly stunt anyway (someone came up with a *great* idea, did it, filmed it, posted it, and we watched it...)
At least they wore helmets.

I bet the poor lines shown by the Mirage were there solely for the comedy factor.
Anybody with a racing background would have been trying his absolute darndest to beat that Merc.
That said, I wonder if he drove it in "B" or sport mode.
