    Sounds about right.

After the recent activity about OBD chips, I tried the ST8PRO from Sawyer Tuning:

I was pleasantly surprised by the results. Heres my thread about it:

Loren also tried a chip that worked for him as well, the Volo VP15:

    His thread is here:

These are not meant as end-game tunes, but a holdover until a "proper" tuning solution is made accessible.

Loren has a killer thread about his experience with the Megasquirt systems. Looks like he's gonna do some tinkerin'. Check his progress here:

I'm tinkering, but not with the Mirage. Just got my S10 back, and it is now running on a Megasquirt. It's a road that I've been down before. Very happy to have full control of the engine in my truck!

    Update!
Just got my ECU flashed by a local garage.
Tools used were a Bluetooth adapter attached to the OBD port and their own proprietary software.
I was surprised at how easy and powerful his software is. He said that only he and his partner has this software. I couldn’t see what software did He use as I don’t think he would allow me to take photos since it’s proprietary.
We did a road tune for about 45 Mins.
He adjusted the parameters as I drove and kept checking with me if the car felt better as he made the changes.
He will ask if this is better or previous changes were better etc.
I told him what i wanted specifically.
To get rid of that heavy laggy feeling when accelerating and to increase torque btw 2000 to 4000rpm.
He kept adjusting different parameters and going back and forth to see the effects.
Now the car feels more like a regular 4 speed auto and is responsive and accelerates with a more direct feeling.
The car pulls better at Low speed. Quite pleased with the effect.
He can load this file he has created to the next person for the same effect.

Real question is, can we all have the tune file to flash to our own ECUs

When you talk about laagy feeling, do you have the CVT or 5MT? I'd be really interested if he made any changes to the TCM to change the feel of the CVT.

I am having a CVT. I feel a more solid and direct engagement of the CVT.
The first thing I noticed is that once you release the throttle, the car feels like it’s free wheeling in 5th gear and doesn’t slow down like it used to. This will help with fuel economy. When driven slowly it feels the same. But when you step on it, it engages like a 4 speed auto.

He can do wifi thus remote tuning. But if the obd plug is not physically there I am not sure how he can connect to your ecu.
I did some 0-100 pulls using drag racer app before and after tuning. But I don’t know how accurate the timings are.
But I can post it if anyone is interested.

If there are members interested in remote tuning, I can ask if that is possible when you are overseas.

Hey Fit, did you install your cams? Where is this guy located? What software is required? What hardware? And by remote tuning, does that mean each remap is specific to the vehicle? How much is the flash? Yatah yatah yatah...

I'd be curious to know how that'd actually work. I assume on the remote end we'd have a laptop paired with a bluetooth dongle and he'd dial up to that from his location. Imagine the lag on that lol

I was thinking more like he'd have a solid tune figured out that he'd be able to sell and we could flash on our own with something like PCM Flash or similar, since he's already done all the R&D on your Mirage.
