August was the best month ever for Mitsubishi's retail sales (combined -- all models) in Canada, says the press release.

Also interesting: they say a year ago (August 2014) was the company's "largest retail and fleet sales month", when they moved 411 Mirages (vs. 342 last month).

I test drove a Spark at the car show and absolutely hated it. The test car was an automatic. It couldn't get out of its own way and rode horribly. The turning radius was nice but other than that it was a piece of doo doo on four tires. Not to mention IT'S UGLY! I love my Mirage and have been seeing a few more out on the roads.

Mitsubishi Motors North America, Inc. (MMNA) reported September 2015 sales of 7,556, an increase of 35.9 percent from September 2014. Not only is this the brand’s 19th consecutive month of year-over-year sales increases, but it is also the sixth consecutive month of double-digit sales increases and the best September for the brand since 2007. Year-to-date sales are up 25.5 percent over the same period in 2014.

Leading the way in September was the Outlander Sport, reporting its best-ever September sales month with 3,140 units sold. The new 2016 Outlander, which features over 100 improvements, recorded 1,949 units sold, its best September in 12 years. The Mirage also saw a strong month, selling 1,348 units.

Huh? Strong month? It appears to be the lowest monthly result in 2015 and slightly below 2014's average monthly figure.

They have a chance to hit 100,000 sales this year in America for the first time in a long time. That would look very good to the naysayers.

A bit below average month in Canada: 287 sales = 4th best month this year.

The Micra continues to dominate this segment north of the 49th (1138 sales in Sept).

I bet Mitsubishi would sell a few more Mirages if it actually advertised even a little. I've NEVER seen a TV or print ad for one.

I haven't watched TV for a while, but I see Mirage ads regularly in print in the "autos" sections of 2 newspapers I follow.
