No, because I had a 2,500 rebate plus a 500 loyalty rebate and then I put 1,500 down. So they might of a little bit. No other dealership would even work with me. Because I was upside down in the car,

Thanks. I will factor that in when negotiating; meaning in my mind that the discount still exists one way or the other!! I would think I could get a crazy low deal on a 15 right now despite the rebate reduction. My biggest hurdle will be my wife letting me buy the car!!

They probably did a little bit but made it so the deal was beneficial to both. Congrats. In trading in a car IMO, you can't win on both ends. You try to win on one end and not get burned on the other. Impossible to win both ways; I have friend of mine who always claims to win on trade and purchase; always gets the greatest deal ever for both. Yeah, right, they just charge him ridiculous fees on top of standard dealer fee(which is negotiable); he claims you have to pay those no matter what.

I am also looking to buy the mirage to transfer my negative equity in my 08 Kia to a new car with a warranty; feel scared about owning a car with a very to soon to be 100K on it,no warranty, and a small note/significant neg equity.

Dealer fees in Florida hurt bad. Be sure to call around for the best price before visiting, and refer to an Edmunds article called Confessions of a Car Salesman. I wrote a bit about in this thread: Should I wait until April to Buy 2015 Mirage (new)

Agree. My Kia warranty is up at 100K and has lasted 8 years mileage wise. The Mirage will be a second car for me so the warranty should last then full 10

How little should I offer on a 15 ES CVT. Is 10K too low as a starting point? The few left seem to be sitting this month.
