US $9.- per gallon equivalent in Germany today.

Today's paper headlined " €2.08 per Litre of gasoline!" That is roughly the equivalent of nine US$ per gallon. Fuel prices in these parts are rising and rising every day.

Damn! No wonder the car market is so much different over in the Europes. Could be worse though. It looks like the Netherlands have it way worse there. https://www.globalpetrolprices.com/g...prices/Europe/

Damn, we're still holding at around €1.29/l here. My condolences

300k for a 1 bedroom apartment, Plus $1100 a month condo fees! And thats for a 55 year lease
Unbelievable. Canada is so huge, you'd think real estate would be more reasonable. It's not like Vancouver is an island like Manhattan, it can spread out its metropolitan area.

Foama, where you live is public transportation a good choice to get around. That's one thing I always admired about Europe, you're train systems are massive. Would it be fair to say you can get around just fine without a car?

Paid $1.51 Canadian Litre earlier today, over $43 dollars to fill up my Mirage from empty. Since 2014 I have only gone over $40 for a full fill up like 3 times, and all within the past few months.

Early spring 2020 I saw gas as low as $0.68 cents, so it's remarkable how oil can go from something that costs more to store, and now what.

Tax on fuel(carbon tax)is going up again on April fools day oddly enough. And will keep rising for another 8 years.

And…… gas just went up 7cents a liter here overnight $1.439/L cost me $48 to fill this morning, Fak!

To have public transport is regarded as a human right in Europe, thus it is lightyears advanced in comparison. Although it is slowly improving over the years, rural areas have only mediocre service. From Munich in the south to Hamburg up north, it takes about seven hours in light trafic with a fast car, but only five hours by train. The train ticket costs about one full days wages.

I know my son-in-law, daughter, her two in-laws, & her sister-in-law share one older Fiat Punto between the 5 of them. Part of that is access to public transportation is quite good in Helsinki (Finland), and the lack of parking in the city is also a concern where they live.

Our apartment buildings come with parking spaces or parking garages. That is not the case where she lives.

My apartment has its own parking spot. But back in 1986 (when it was built), they assumed that many residents would work and live in the city and wouldn't buy or need an expensive car. Therefore there are fewer parking spots than apartments.

That makes it very hard for us, as we cannot assign fixed parking spots to our residents.

Finding parking space becomes a serious problem in many cities in our country.
