I work in marketing for Warn Industries.

They also might not be great in the snow with that tread pattern. Some mud terrain tires aren't great on snow/ice.

The Nankang FT9, also known as the “Mud Terrain Terminator”, is Nankang‘s latest addition to their Mud Terrain Tyre offerings.
    Nankang FT9 Features:
    * Thanks to its large blocks for enhanced shoulder traction, the Nankang FT-9 is competitive over rocky, muddy, uneven and harsh surfaces, on which its interlocking tread design removes mud and debris to enhance grip for better maneuverability.
    * The technical tread patterns on the FT-9 with its hook shaped block, Z shaped zigzag grooves and the prominent bar on the bottom of the grooves are all designed to give extra traction in extreme off-road conditions.
    * The FT-9 won a “Taiwan Excellence award” in 2012.

The FT-09 is not being pushed as a snow tire, nor is it marketed in the U.S. It's a cool looking tire, but I am not interested in subjecting my little Mirage to that type of terrain.

If someone is interested in 165/65-14 snow tires, Nokian produces a 165/65-14 Nordman 7 that can be purchased in the U.S. as a studded or non-studded snow tire. Tires-easy.com seems to keep them in stock.

I have no experience with this company, but they list several 165/65-14 snow tire options. They have warehouses in Canada and the United States.

I guess you haven't seen these yet. There's more details at the linked web pages.

Tire Rack lists all-terrain tires from Goodyear and BFGoodrich and Firestone and General and Dunlop as studdable.

Typically we associate studded tires with winter tires. However some All Terrain Tires are studdable as well and could work well in certain environments with lots of mud, snow and ice. Check out the available On-/Off-Road All-Terrain and On-/Off-Road Commercial Traction tires that are studdable.…

    Hmm ... (They also come in a 165/50/15). It's so ... rally-esque!

Meh. I don't know. Worse fuel economy and worse on-road handling? Why wouldn't I?

Oh I know. Because it might look cool! LOL

That is about the worst looking tread you could attempt to run on ice.

I've taken the Mirage wheeling on the factory tires at 15psi. It's a capable little vehicle, honestly. Just no point making it into a dedicated trail rig because front wheel drive only plus a locked or limited slip diff is... not fun in slick terrain.

Also shocked to see 37-12.5-15 as an option. That's not a size you can find these days.
