BTTF = Back to the Future.
AKA way the hell off topic.
More battery abuse today. I'm a driving instructor. We occasionally get a student that wants to learn to drive a manual trans, and I'm THRILLED to teach them! But, the school doesn't own a manual trans car, so I have to do it in my own car.
Fortunately, we got my car back together yesterday, just in time to do this lesson!
I didn't even try to count how many times we restarted the car. Dozens. The first half hour in the parking lot... never got over 2,000 rpm, stalled probably 15-20 times. Got better after that.
Still no starting issues. Battery is happy.
Simplify and add lightness.
Aww, I was just getting started. I missed out on the last few days
Good to hear the quad battery is working for you. Poor clutch!

I guess it's no surprise. The mirage has only a 1200cc engine. Plenty of motorcycles have much larger engines.
I think it's true. People on the internet really will argue about anything.
I'm a man of action. I will experiment and demonstrate that it either works (for ME in the environment that I drive in) or doesn't work. No need to argue about whether or not the Mirage has more accessories than a motorcycle. I simply don't care about that.
Simplify and add lightness.

But apparently others do.
Sometimes new and interesting ideas come from an open exchange without someone telling another what they can and what they cannot discuss.
I personally try to avoid shutting down discussions here unless it's a spammer, or obviously the wrong forum. For example, some time ago someone was making posts promoting another model vehicle which started to get on other members nerves. Every now and then folks get on each other's nerves for one reason or another. As grown-ups we can deal with a bit of disagreement now and then. Reminders to simmer down are posted when the discussion gets heated and personal.
The good news is that is rare here. We have a good group of members who all want to learn more about these little cars. I'd say that's worth the price of admission.
Thanks for your contributions here, Loren. It is appreciated.

Well most 4x4 quads have winches. Side by sides too. They use the same or similar size battery. They probably suck more power than any accessory ever will in most cars. Except for maybe flux capacitors.

I understand the battery is a storage device. Electrical demand is met by something that generates the electromotive force - the alternator.
The alternator runs the car, but cannot start it. The battery starts the car and can run it as long as it can.
Let me know if I got this wrong.
Loren's on the right track, and it works for him. That small battery might leave me stranded on a cold Northern Ohio winter's day.
