Hey guys,
I am one of the R&D engineers for Mitsu,
I am hoping you can help me out.
We are looking for ways to improve the radio.
Please tell me what radio you have, and what we can do to make your
lives easier.

My 2015 ES has the factory radio with JCI Bluetooth. I wish it handled USB playback better.
For touchscreen systems, include TPMS management please!

A way to use Android Auto with an iPod at the same time would be my wish. I can't even do that with bluetooth, as the Android Auto seems to take over bluetooth as well.

That makes sense. However, I wouldn't expect Android Auto to control an iPod, but I have no experience with either.

Folks!
Here is a Mitsubishi R&D Engineer asking our input on the Mirage! Let's get some more involvement and help improve our favorite little car. There's no better crowd to ask as no one knows better how it works and what features would help.
Opportunities like this don't happen very often. Here's your chance to let Mitsubishi know what you think.

This is more of a list of suggestions than complaining. Although I know it will come across a bit like complaining.
I have the 2015 DE Base stereo. My list of modifications are as follows:
2 channel 200w Peak component amp running to the front speakers.
Rear Speakers are run off radio directly.
Single channel class d 1200w claimed Power Acoustic amp powering a 6.5" 300w sub sealed in a Heineken mini keg.
around 10 lbs of sound mat strategically placed to eliminate rattles and panel flex
I use a 10$ Bluetooth receiver through the AUX port for pandora.
The radio tuner is a waste of time and is easily drowned out by the wind noise.
Now to my recommendations:
Ditch the paper cone speakers and install something with a little mass.
An amplifier that can push more than 20 Watts peak and a little dynamat would go a long way in improving the sound quality.
The wind noise is most of the reason my radio is close to maximum volume constantly.
Also add tweeters like in the Outlanders.
A bluetooth connection without 3 seconds of lag would be nice too since even a 10$ dongle from amazon can have no delay running through the AUX Port.
Also, random question that is sort of related. Why is there no AUX port on the 2014 Outlander GT.
20 more HP would be great too.
