The big 3 need to go bankrupt and disappear so new american car companies can form. Maybe even give Tesla more competitive edge. At this point the big 3 are just dragging their feet.

Elon Musk is a wack job. I dont see Tesla standing the test of time.
Ford didnt take a bailout. And is doing pretty well overall, despite cutting their cars.
GM I've never liked since the bailout.
Chrysler is already Merged with Fiat, it's really only the "big 2" in America now.
Toyota is the biggest worldwide and has been for awhile now. And certainly that gap will widen with gm cutting 6 models.

GM has some reputation in these parts!
They first bought and then killed Saab.
They bought Opel during the great depression, but allowed them to sell into only to certain markets and only certain products. When GM was in really bad shape some years ago, they sold just about everything Opel had, including buildings, etc. Opel's research department was the brain of GM, bringing patents after patents and superior engine designs. GM welcomed the patents and designs and Opel had to license their patents back for their needs. Finally they sold Opel to PSA.
They have certainly made themselves very popular in these parts.

The amazing thing is GM sells around 10,000 - 12,000 Cruzes a month in the U.S.
And they can't make money on that volume?
OK, admittedly Cruze sales are well off their highs and have been declining, but when we call 2500-3000 Mirages sold a "good month", it makes you think.
