Coolant differences aside, Mitsubishi coolant can’t be that expensive although inconvenient to purchase.
So why not just change coolant every two years with your coolant of choice, Mitsubishi brand if one insists, and not worry about it?

It doesn't have to be a Mitsubishi Brand Coolant it just needs to meet this requirement:
Use “Mitsubishi Motors Genuine Super Long Life Coolant Premium” or equivalent high quality ethylene glycol based non-silicate, non-amine, nonnitrate and non-borate coolant with long life hybrid organic acid technology.

I'm going to check the pH in my coolant just because I'm curious if it has anything to do with the fact that I have the symptoms of a restricted heater core. My car has 60,000 miles and is still running the coolant it was filled with from the factory. I've only added a shot-glass full of distilled water once.
Remember...that TSB in post #3 is from VW and it may be completely unrelated to the problems some of us are experiencing.
We could all be driving around with goo in our heater cores, but only the people that rely on consistent heat in very cold winter temps will ever notice it. Also...if you never have a front seat passenger in the winter, you may not realize how little heat is being put out on that side. My wife alerted me to that fact the other day.

I’m not riding around with goo in my heater core. Heat works fine and coolant gets changed at least every two years whether my PH level is good or not.
I use only Mitsubishi brand air in my tires.

Be careful that they don't misrepresent their efficiency statistics. Other than that it's hard to beat for the price.
