    Speedo check

Probably been done and may be old news BUT did a speedometer accuracy check with a hand-held GPS. It was virtually "dead nuts" for two speeds of 45 and 55 mph with its excellent cruise on level ground, daylight, ambient 42°F, wind light and variable.

Lucky you, mine is 8km/h out and my last car was similarly bad. Cars over here can read 10% over actual speed before being rejected by quality assurance.

That 10% fast indication was the US "standard" for many years so it seemed. Always wondered why they could not seem to achieve more accuracy.

Maybe the accuracy you are reading is due to your tire size? Mirage tire sizes are taller these days.
