    What fails inside the cvt?

Coming soon.........A non owners uneducated tear down showing what happened. Is higher octane fuel the cause of these failures or is the lack of it a factor??????? Or maybe not rotating hubcaps often enough? Just because I'm making this up doesn't mean I'm wrong......

I'll fix this thread up sometime this weekend!

    1:Remove transmission.
    2:Remove torque converter
3:Remove bolts around bell-housing.Basically every bolt with a 12mm head.

4:Once all the bolts are removed pry the case apart. There are 2 notches that look like they're made for this. One in this pic behind the oil cooler and another in the second last pic. There are also 2 locating pins.

5:After some swearing the cover should be off. Now remove the oil pump gears. There is a c-clip that has to be spread open(yellow) while pulling up on the gear. The other gear just pulls up. Undo the bolts circled in green. The 4 on the rh first then lift the tin plate out of the way.
NOTE: there is a small seal at one of the bolt holes just above the output shaft(large shaft lh rear lower of pic)that you don't want to lose.
