Actually the Nissan there also looks a bit like the Nissan Versa Note hatchback.. currently on sale in Canada and the USA. The Clio and the new Micra there aren't sold in North America. Not sure about Mexico and Latin America, they have a different market, with Mitsubishi Mirage's sold as Dodge.

I know not much looks like the 2014/2015 Mirage lol!
When you get to SUVs, crossovers, bendovers, whatever, I can't tell one from the other anymore. What I think is a Hyundai turns out to be a Lexus, what is think is Mercedes is actually an Audi or BMW. Now in the compact class I think there's more distinction. You can't mistake a Mirage for a Micra, a Versa for a Fit, a Fiesta for an Accent.
There was a time in the past that was worse, everything was a slab-sided box with no redeeming curves.

Good to see the Mirage being included in the iconic Mitsubishi front facia styling. Thats one thing that always drew me to them, aggressive styling vs soccer mom Hondas & Toyotas. Loved, loved, loved the 80s/90s Eclipse. Back in the day you could chose from the Eagle Talon, Plymouth Laser, or Mitsubishi Mirage, all the same car with cool minor differences. My buddy had a 91 Plymouth Laser, manual, its still running!
I'm glad to see it getting the dynamic shield grille, too.
And while I'm glad to see an updated Mirage, I just wonder how long Mitsubishi can continue offering "new" cars that are really just old cars with new front ends. I'm not hater (I own four Mitsus), but just wondering. Maybe the Mirage is in that "if it ain't broke" category.
