The non-turbo engine in an Outlander Sport has about the same horsepower & mpg rating as the Eclipse Cross. I see no added value in the 1.5 turbo, & I highly doubt it will be more reliable in the long run. I don't see anything impressive about the Eclipse Cross. It would be my last pick of any of the Mitsubishi vehicle on market, and its sales somewhat reflect that, too.
For a Mirage to be special -
It should be affordable!
It needs to be reliable.
It should be very economical to drive & own.
If a small economy car doesn't get 40-50 mpg consistently all year round, I wouldn't be interested. I'm sure a turbo would kill my interest in a Mirage. A turbo surely didn't save the Fiat 500 in the U.S. Who wants to drive a tiny car that gets horrible gas mileage? YUCK!!!!
