The author must have spent 30 seconds looking at the latest Consumer Reports Used Car Buyer's Guide issue before writing that article. As usual...the complaints mentioned don't reflect the reality of most forum members...

I can't believe that someone that ignorant actually is employed to write about cars and draws a salary,
If there's anyone less deserving of a paycheck for doing, I can't say work, because obviously they didn't do any research, they copied and pasted from other places.
Zero, 2014 ES Plus 5MT, written off but not forgotten.
Zero II, 2014 SE, 5MT, climate She's HOME now!
Shelby AKA "Cute", 2017 ES 5MT, A/C.
Mirage owners look at the world differently than everyone else, but in a better way
We're driving the Beetle of the 21st century, the greatest small car now available!

What a poorly chosen list.
I do agree with f350's though, well not the truck itself but the 6.0l diesels in general. And the 6.4l.
And 4l60's seem week and blow up early. Dodge always seemed to have a crappy automatic too from the mid 90's til the new body style.

Lies! All LIES!!!

The list makes no sense anyway, there may be common problems, but none of them exhibit these issues right off the lot.

The only vehicle I've seen that had problems from day one is an 18' Nissan. We got one new last year, within few day's it was having throttle issues. Throttle would cut out randomly. Took it back to dealer, a number of times. They changed throttle body one time and a computer the next. Was good for a year, then acted up again. They had the thing for a month then ended up ordering a new wiring harness. Turns out this van was brought in from another dealer when we ordered a bunch. The previous dealer had the same problems as well and thankfully it was documented. Though the car was just past it's warranty period they were able to have it covered cause it obviously wasn't fixed properly the first few times.

Whose complaining about drivetrain troubles, besides me lol. Seriously though, these cars are rated good for reliabilty on carcomplaints.com and average on JD Power? So subjective.
1. The grammar and lack of spell check says a lot about the author. "Because of the many complains..."? C'mon, man. Or ma'am.
I'll take the testimony of this forum over some hack writer any day. Where's the Honda's with the Earthdreams engine that saturates the oil with gasoline? That happens ON the lot, lol.

Assertions without evidence are dismissed without evidence.
Move along - nothing to see here.
