Thread: How old is your Mirage (production date)?

How old is your Mirage (production date)?

Turns out mine's pretty old as far as North American Mirages go.

August 2013 - production date (on the Mitsubishi Motors placard on the driver's door jamb).

It could very well have been on the first shipment to Canada. The first Mirage shipment set sail for the U.S. west coast in late August, 2013.

The first shipment of Canadian Mirages arrived on September 10, 2013:

(I believe that's the Fancy Metro in the back row, 2nd from right. )

Arrived at the dealership October, 2013.

That kind of provenance means it's worth more money, right? Mirage collectors, submit your bids now!

It had a somewhat unusual life before its first owner too. Looks like it sat around unsold for a long time: until March, 2015.

My production date is October 2013
I'll have to look mine up the Mitsu site again.

Mine had the PDI done Jan 2014 with 17km
Then sold in Sept 2014 (still 17kms) and the dealer installed the block heater, remote start and weathertech floor mats
There were a few random recalls completed and one oil change on record over the past few years. Nothing too weird other than diagnose an electrical problem which I assume was when the dealer pulled the remote start out in Dec 2018.

December 2015, one of the last of the first bumper styling.

Yeah, that's late. Normlly a car built in December 2015 and sold in the U.S. would be called a 2016 model.

I don't know the production date of my Space Star, but it's license says it's 'admitted to the road' on 5 February 2013. The ship takes 2 months, so it's produced before 5 December 2012.

You don't have a sticker on one of the b pillars that shows a month and year along with the vin and other random stuff?

Says on the door 05/13, so my Mirage was built May 2013. I bought my Mirage new April 2014.

I did not buy my new Mirage right off the lot, rather I ordered the Mirage I wanted with the 0 options and Pearl paint... and then waited like 3-5 weeks for delivery.
