I wish the dang thing didn't even come with these stupid plastic hubcaps. I would be fine with the little center metal caps like the crown vics police cars have. Much less problems and easier to check the tire air. The valve stem barely makes it past the hubcap.

If I found a center cap that would cover the center, I would go that route. My 2000 Honda CR-V had steel wheels, & I used two sets of factory steel wheels (bought 2nd set used). The center caps just popped out and could be popped back in with a rubber mallet. It gave the steel wheels a nice finished look.

The Honda steel wheels looked nicer than the black steel wheels on a Mirage, but I don't really care about that either. I also miss the pre-TPMS days!
