Here is how to disable the TPMS, or rather how to inhibit the annoying blinking if you are driving without working TPMS transmitters. It is easy to do, and self-explanitory to re-enable it.
Of course all at your own risk, nothing for clumsy folks with toes on their hands instead of fingers...
Firstly, adjust the steering wheel height to lowest position.
Then pull the shroud covering the perimeter of the instrument forward with your fingers, no tools needed to get it off.
Remove one screw holding the top of the instrument.
See picture!
Pull instrument forward until loose. Remove the connector on the back of instrument. Take instrument to a suitable workplace such as the kitchen table or similar.
Remove the clear and the black plastic covering the Bezel.
The result will look like this:
With the clear and black plastic laid aside, you have this:
Lift up the bezel where the TPMS LED is:
Using black plastic insulation tape, cover the opening in the white plastic over the LED light source illuminating the bezel.
Use a scalpel or scissors to cut the tape to size.
You may now want to get some tissue and window cleaner to make sure the transparent plastic cover is perfectly clean. Put everything back together in reverse order.
If you want to re-enable TPMS, for example when you want to sell the car, just remove the insulation tape!
