Two area Mitsubishi dealerships have closed during this pandemic. Over the past few years Northeast Ohio has gone from six dealerships down to one.

The layoff was short lived but wage was cutback for a while. Both our works went into panic mode back in march/april and are pretty much back to normal by now. Though some cutback changes(company gas card for the wife) haven't been reversed and probably won't be.

I know 2 couples totally on the rocks because they've had to spend so much time in close quarters! I hear divorce lawyers are swamped.

On the other hand, I've never seen so many new puppies being walked. Covid-19 puppy boom?

That's true, in a sense: the more important stats are hospitalization & mortality rates. Case count is most useful for predicting those outcomes when the age/health profile of the infected population remains constant, which it hasn't between the 1st and 2nd waves. It's skewing more toward younger people in the 2nd wave who statistically have much better outcomes than the oldsters.

I would agree except that hospitals are not being overrun by covid patients thankfully. I'm sure they were close in New york during their peak but I can tell you here in WI, a place that is listed as a top hot spot in the country, is currently at 6%. That is the percentage of covid patients in the hospital. So 94% are there for non covid reasons, probably cheese ingestion issues I'm not sure.

The temporary field hospital that was talked about so much when it was erected a month ago at the state fair grounds that can handle 1,000 patients? Yeah they are at 13 patients currently. A real beehive of activity there!

No wonder the MSM doesnt talk about Wisconsins field hospital anymore.

If this dude has acquired the disease after having gone through it already, does it mean either:
1. Maybe he wasn't fully finished with the first round, or
2. We can't count on a vaccine to put this disease behind us?

Or one of the tests is a false positive. Which is a real possibility.
