Just thinking,,, what would the chances be of a brake light switch or something activating the brake lights & the ECU shuts the throttle back to idle to prevent "Unintended Runaway Acceleration"??? I don't know if this is how they work as I've never tried to use the brakes while accelerating... Just a thought....

I didn't know what to do, so I didn't do anything

This is when the Mitsubishi service manual makes me want to slam my head into a brick wall repeatedly...

The service manual instructions above can be summarized as follows:

    1. If the accelerator pedal is installed properly, go to Step 2.
    2. If there are no trouble codes, go to Step 3.
    3. If the accelerator pedal doesn't work normally, go back to Step 1.

Sorry Fummins, reading is hard work, especially after some "brown COVID 19 medicines"
I didn't know what to do, so I didn't do anything

Just got off the phone with dealership to see exactly what they did for the recall service a little over a month ago. Only thing they did was "computer update for airbags". Asked if they checked any wiring or harnesses, and she said no.

Arent you going to get a professional opinion 1st though? Before you do anything? More power to you if you can handle it om your own, but Id get a second opinion/estimate from a shop first.
