In some cases I'd say yes.

Yea eh there is a meme of that, photo of a stick shift, and the headline is "young generation's anti-theft", my friend who is into 3 wheelers showed me on his phone. I can see the truth behind that. I know young people who love manuals too but it's declining for sure.

I wouldn't mind buying another new car in manual next time again. I think they do (in theory) last longer like your examples kinda show. I would buy a manual Dodge before anything Dodge makes in automatic, even these days!

I've had my '17 Mirage up fro sale for a few days now (four, I think) with zero real inquiries. I've had plenty of spammers, however. Even "Mark Whalberg" emailed me if he could pay for it with a check. After all, he told me his mom's in a wheelchair. Poor, Mark. Had a couple other spammers, too. I'm likely asking too much, though. Will probably lower the price this weekend.

Mine's out on a test drive right now. First tire-kickers.

First time I've never gone with the prospect on the test drive -- brave new world of social distancing!

They left me the key to their other car. Or at least the key to the car they stole on the way here.

I was kinda hoping they wouldn't come back, or I'd be tooling around in a sweet Kia!

He asked about the Mirage's maintenance history (he even asked when the timing belt was last changed - yay!). Agreed on a price. But they want to look at a couple more cars and decide tomorrow.

Hopefully, you'll be buying/selling used Mirages for years (decades) to come!

I appreciate each year they keep manufacturing these cars & selling them in North America. It will just enhance the used Mirage inventory for years to come.

Nice thing about the Mirage - You can remove the engine oil cap & see the timing chain quite easily.

Nah, these days they have the best in the industry... the ZF-8 is the best automatic transmission I have ever driven, hands down, and are notoriously reliable in pretty much every brand they are used in. Dodge wised up an finally just went with the best they could buy.

For sure. What do you think of that weird circular gear "shifter"? I heard it can cause accidents. I don't like them, but I'm also a fan of all things manuals.

I've also heard Dodge has the best-in-the industry infotainment systems these days, better than Mercedes etc.
