After a couple stop and starts the engine wouldn't rev up leaving an intersection. That's always fun! I shifted to S then L and the car started to rev up. No Cel, no flashing shift indicator. No codes stored.
What are the chances the ECU is seeing a voltage signal making it think the brakes are on & not allowing it to rev, or does it feel like there is too much load on the engine??? The connector in the kick panel corroded maybe??? Just a thought but I'm sure you've already checked that...
