That might be for the Flux Capacitor. In the North American market it is believed to be mounted to the firewall though we have no confirmed sightings.

OH: and to clarify...
"PASSENGER fog light cover" location is left side of vehicle, I assume.
Since front passengers sit on opposite sides of the car in different countries!

In the 2015 service manual circuit and configuration diagrams it shows a square 4 pin connector at that spot (red, violet, yellow brown) called "spare" (connector A-108). At the other end of those wires is a 4 pin connector up high in the dashboard behind the gauges (left hand drive) also called "spare" (connector C-221). I guess you could use them for anything if you can manage to get to the end up behind the dashboard.
I think I read somewhere it's for the optional electric supercharger.
