Anyone looking to trade their factory HD radio for my '20 CD / Android Auto / Apple CarPlay?
Can it be done?

Are you talking about the "base" 7 inch touch screen display? I have one sitting here and I'd rather have the "fancier" Apple Carplay unit for my blue Mirage.

As for swapping from the carplay deck to the "base" deck it's pretty straightforward. Unplug the carplay deck and it's adaptor harnesses, plug in the base deck, and there you go. Done deal. Going the other way is harder because the carplay deck uses the microphone up in the ceiling and the base deck has the microphone as part of the front panel.

Well I would gladly switch decks with you.

I'm with you on this one, mcbrewsky. Was excited to mess around with Android Auto when I rented a Ford with in installed a few months back.
Holy cow, it is so bad. Such a PITA to use. Half of the apps stay on your phone, the other half can only be used through the head unit. Many end up missing features. So confusing and awful.
Have the base head unit in my 2017 Mirage and am so happy with it. No screwing around - just connect Bluetooth and go. Everything runs from the phone as you would expect.
Ugh. Android Auto. Awful. /end rant
