Using bike handlebar tape as a steering wheel cover

I did not know these steering wheel covers existed til now. I always picture furry steering wheel covers. I wonder if you have to still do the stitching with the high-end Wheelskins? I bookmarked their website. Thanks, that is an interesting upgrade, and I like that I could pick the colour of the leather steering wheel.

The bottom one is the sew on wheel cover I purchase and have installed on my Mitsubishi.
It looks and works great.
