Tires for my Vue - opinions

I can't say I have any experience with this brand
but the price seems OK for summer tires
Can anyone offer opinions?

I bought a set of Rotalla winter tires for my Mirage in late 2019(iirc). Ran them on the previous car for about a year, swapped them onto the black car and used them year round til this past winter. I'll put them back on when it stops snowing here. They've held up great.

One of my brother in laws ordered the absolute cheapest summer tires he could find from quattro. They were terrible. No siping, just a 3-4 groves. I can't find the exact tire anymore, I hope they quit carrying it. They wore out within one summer too.

But Mark caught the bit about them being for my Saturn.

And my friend Fummins is using these tires!!! Tells me all I need to know. If I swap them out seasonally and get 5-7 years use that's a reasonable cost of use.

When I compare 205/55r16 tires on Quattro Tires, it seems like you have to jump from approximately $73/tires to $115+ for something with a better known brand name associated with it. That's quite a savings!

That's nearly $200 I save with the Rotallas.
That will pay for my rebuilt alternator and a new serpentine belt.

A lot has changed in my province and buying another car, getting it certified may be a nightmare. I know of two recent car buyers who got hit with surprise bills of $2500 and $4200 to make their cars "safe" for public roads. Not fit for purpose mind you, just "safe" The engine could be knocking like a mofo, the A/C could be out (I have to check on that, there is a possibility my province now considers working AC to be a "safety" issue.) and you drop thousands to make a POS "safe" for public roads.

Now, you can own a car in this province for decades and there is no law forcing you to have annual inspections like the poor b*stards in the UK face. As long as your car doesn't have fenders flapping in the wind you won't get stopped and have some heavy handed cop power tripping and demanding your car gets inspected.

So, back on topic, quite pointless selling my Vue which will look like new forever and dropping a large sum on something who's history is a complete mystery to me. Better to spend $73/tire for a car I know than undefined amounts on a mystery vehicle.
