Does anyone know how much fuel is left when there are zero bars displayed?
the tank is rated at 9.2 gallons on the u.s web site but i filled up today when the range had stopped displaying a distance so <30 miles left. but it only took 6.991 gallons.
i don't like filling it up after it has automatically stopped because i constantly get fuel on the side of the car even when i'm not trying to fill it to the brim. but i would like to get the full available range for my long roadtrips.

The specs say 35 ltr fuel capacity - The most I've been able to refill with is 32ltr and 650 km from previous fill- thats about 400 miles. So far I've noticed that when the last bar starts flashing I get about another 30km before the whole fuel gauge flashes - I've then driven at least another 50 km without running out - my guess would be that when the last bar starts flashing at least 20% of the tanks capacity remains.

[*]The MID shows trip average fuel consumption in L/100km (default), km/L, or MPG.[*]It's resettable on the fly.[*]It auto resets after the engine has been off for 5 hours, a feature which can be turned off.
This feature has to be turned off everytime I start the car as it resets to default when ignition is turned back on.
This is a sad shortcoming in the system in my opinion.
Will weld for beer.

Good point. Post that in the suggestions to Mitsubishi thread:

Not sure about Canada, but here on the US, there are TWO average fuel consumption screens. A and B. A resets if the engine has been turned off for more than 4 hours, and B keeps the a total average fuel consumption until it is MANUALLY reset.
Im heading to the car right now to try to document how to toggle between the two.
EDIT:
From the Odometer screen:
1st push: Trip Meter A
2nd push: Trip Meter B
3rd push: light adjustment
4th push: Distance to empty --------- Hold on the button here and you will be toggled from fuel consumption gauge A (auto-reset gauge) to B (manual reset gauge)
5th push: AVG fuel consumption (MPG or KM/L)

What suppose to be the RPM range where the ECO light, is expected to light up? Is it between 2k to 3k in the RPM?
