Wheel speed sensor replacement - important info when replacing wheel bearing

Last week I replaced my left front wheel bearing at 110k miles. The speed sensor was the only snag with the job - it wouldn't come out. Had to drill it out (it's plastic).
Ordered a new one, Mitsubishi # 4670B087, cost $118. Fits both left and right front.
Went to install it, found the rust inside the hole required extensive filing to squeeze the new (lubed with silicone dielectric grease) sensor in.
However, don't make the mistake I made and try to wiggle the sensor in if it binds up - you won't get it back out! I managed to persuade it into place, test drove the car and it seems to work fine. Kind of kicking myself for not filing the opening more.

I was very surprised that the sensor was so difficult to remove and reinstall. My car rarely ever saw salt, and I keep it very clean.
So, if you need a new wheel bearing, be prepared to possibly need a new speed sensor also.
    Hope this helps someone!
