One more thought... is there a chance/did anyone try it before? I was thinking to take the audio controls from Outlander, looks the same but has one more button - would it be possible to use it as a switch to change the gauge display? It's pretty annoying while driving to put the hand through the steering wheel to click all the way to see the temperature and so on. Not sure if there are any free pins in clockspring harness that could be used to solder them to the gauge switch and use one of the unused audio buttons or adapt the blank one from Cruise Control. Just food for thought...

That is a great idea but it seems it would take a lot of work to get it done. Who knows, it might be a easy project for someone with the right tools, talent & time.

Challenge accepted! Once I lay my hands on the CC switch I will have a closer look and see if I am skilled enough to do it

I think I'd find a junkyard mirage to find the required parts. Just a thought.

That's exactly what I did, had to buy the whole steering wheel as they would not agree to sell just the switch.
I hope to have some time this weekend to install it, hesitating about coding though - watched MMC coder videos, seems easy BUT I do not have the miniVCI cable, just the OBD ELM Bluetooth (good quality, surely not fake). Might try to connect and download the car's data, will see if I am brave enough to write anything. Just would not like to brick the car that is still on warranty
Posting some pictures of the CC switch - I will pass on the idea of adding a button to switch the menu - missing pieces inside and free connectors anyways.

I'd make sure the battery doesn't die while doing coding.

So, I don't have a lot of time today but managed to quickly install the switch - was easier than expected. Question - right after installing (no coding done yet) - is it active at all? I mean - no CC indicator comes up on the cluster when pressing the button. Is it normal that it's dead with no coding? I would hope so, otherwise it means I am missing some wires or the switch is faulty.
I have checked the brake switch (partially) - it has 4 wires for sure, did not check if the switch itself is the 4 pin type.

Just called the stealership and have an appointment on May 2nd to change the oil AND code the cruise control. The technician on the phone was very surprised - wat happened with it? What? You added it yourself and come for coding CC in ETACS? What? Never did that, not sure if that's even possible... I told him, no worries, give me MUT3 and I will do it myself LOL. Will check which options need to be activated to show him around if needed. This is soooo pathetic.

I think you're subjecting yourself to abuse, folly, and robbery. Are you allowed to do your own oil changes in your country? Or do the oil change police tackle you, baton you, and put the cuffs on you?

Pssst... don't tell them but I changed the oil myself a couple of thousand kilometres ago. This visit is purely to keep the warranty and code the CC switch. I will bring my own oil and filter to save on their crazy prices. The oil they sell surely has golden flakes in it and unicorn hair judging by the price
