I found some neat Mitsu's overseas:

https://www.beforward.jp/mitsubishi/...20/id/4584789/
This one is weird...https://www.beforward.jp/mitsubishi/...10/id/4510281/
I've been browsing around on this site for a little while. I'd like to see how hard(expensive) it is to import something from overseas. It's something I've always been interested in. It'd be neat to get something odd, drive it for a while, get it sorted then flog it and do it all over again. If it was cheap and easy then everybody would be doing it....

It can't be that expensive though as I certainly seen enough of the cool little 660 CC Japanese cars and trucks. I think I posted a Mitsu truck with a 660 CC engine and AC. WTF? Can it really pull a load in the bed (it was pickup) on a hot day with the AC running?
Anyhow, like I said, I see enough of these cars to thing it must be worth it to import.
ETA. Oh dear lord, I have a terrible Jones for this thing. Way too expensive but it's the weird 660 CC engine and AC.

I think it might be pricey nowadays to get a car shipped? Everything has gone up in the last 3-5 years. I don’t know if these prices are accurate, I hope not! I figured 3-4k tops?

There must other shipping options. I can't see someone going through this and paying $10-14K to ship in a car that cost anywhere from $3-10K.
I know the manufacturers get all sorts of breaks because of volume and averages but the fact remains shipping is by weight and for example, the Mirage shipping cost for Canadian buyers is $1600 or so. I get some Mirages can be rolled from the factory to the selling dealer meaning there is no real shipping cost and other Mirages cost much more to ship like to Alaska or Iceland.
The few imports I've seen have, IMO, been fairly priced considering it all. I think the little Mits pickup truck was $14k ? all in. If it cost buddy $14k to get it here he's selling it at a loss. Let me look for the lost I made.

Here's one. https://www.kijiji.ca/v-cars-trucks/...8681?undefined I'm pretty sure they only do 80kph. On a good day, down hill, in neutral, with a tail wind.
