Sounds like what happened to my old Accord (89). I'm curious to find out if that shaft issue was due to corrosion like it was in my car's case. Corrosion effectively increased the shaft diameter, making it too tight.
If so could be another important preventive maintenance point for Mirage owners in winter/salt use areas?

Maybe the throwout bearing is binding on the input shaft?
Mgr called today, parts came in today and car will be done by sat. Although I wont be picking it up til Monday.
He said the trans is getting pulled and opened. So I guess a plus to this situation is it will be getting fresh gear oil with this work.
The dealer has been great to work with so far since the mgr took over this process.
So they said it would be done today and I called this morning and one person said that they saw the work order but would have to have the advisor call me. So already I figured it's not done.
Sure enough it's not done and I doubt it was even started.
So supposedly it will be done tomorrow "sometime"
Still don't know what's wrong with it because I don't think they know yet.
Hopefully this gets done right.
Thanks for the updates. Sounds a bit frustrating.
