The holy grail! Base Canadian Mirage with no options: no AC, manual locks (no remote), wind-up rear windows, manual HVAC settings, no cruise, etc. Yet another cheap, used scratch 'n' dent special with high kms for its age (174k).
Details
Colour: Frigidaire White. A littlle banged up, with rust creeping around the edges.
Front carpet: 50% sodium chloride
Aftermarket bluetooth thingy!
Stiff clutch pedal.
Yes. Possible fubar rear axle.
Stock Enasaves in decent shape. Two are much newer, so I will have to investigate rear axle alignment.
Looks like someone did a little light off-roading in this thing!
Lots of gravel sprinkled in/on the right side suspension, steering & subframe. I wonder if it's related to that dent / scrape in the lower right front bumper.
If I had to guess, I'd say someone dropped the right wheels off the side of a gravel road with a deep enough ditch that high-centered it.
Sometimes that's easy to do in the winter when the snow plow blade fills the ditch with fresh snow and levels it off, making it look like the road surface is wider than it really is.
That looks like some of our cars lol. Fill that subframe/engine mount full of mud/gravel like that and it'll vibrate like crazy, especially in reverse when on the throttle.

Rear brake shoes on order - $28 from Crappy Tire. Should be in tomorrow.
I forgot how much effort it takes to remove that 30 mm axle nut to get the brake drum off. That's crazy - I thought I was going to break my breaker bar.
And that concludes my pre-inspection inspection of the car...
Front brake tidy + service
4 light bulbs
rear brake shoes
Not bad.
Of course, that doesn't include the stiff clutch mechanism & potentially wonky rear axle, but those won't cause an inspection fail.
