Time to make the donuts...
This past weekend, the dragstrip I wanted to go to was closed. And I heard from a local yocal, that indeed, this little redneck quarter-mile now gets PUMMELED due to the demise of the Atlanta dragway. I don't mind being embarrassed a little. But not only would I be embarrassed a lot, but I'm just going to be in the way.
So, instead I downloaded the Track Addict app. I have a spot I can go to that's down in the country, very little traffic, no cop worries. And I ran this app a bunch of times. It is VERY INCONSISTENT. The data is just noise.
I did do a run where I pulled the resonator off. And I do think it felt like it was pulling just a bit harder above 3,500 rpm than it does with the resonator in place. My buttometer could easily be lying.
So, to hell with that app. Although I'll keep this data and do similar runs after the mods. Maybe not accurate, but maybe the data will be relevant. And now I'm thinking, to hell with going to the drag strip. It's too busy, I'd be very embarrassed, and would prefer to conserve clutch material anyway.
The best I'm going to do is to monitor mpg with my exhaust mods. To see if they inch up, inch down, or seem Ed Zachery the same. So, as far as the exhaust mods go, I NOW HAVE EVERYTHING NEEDED.
I'm going to schedule a time and get the Thrush glasspack installed and the 2nd cat unstalled.
Mmmmmkay?
