    Mitsubishi Reports Profit

It appears the combination of the Outlander redesign and the available inventory excess in the US helped propel Mitsu to a profit! Apparently there is a silver lining to the chip shortage!

Interesting that Mitsubishi is building a new small car next year, "all-electric minivehicle geared toward the Japanese market is expected to land the following fiscal year"

Hopefully they keep the Mirage, as well as have their new kai electric car.

I saw that too. I searched for this new “all-electric minivehicle” but couldn’t find anything.

Could the mysterious EV be based on a Mirage platform?

I searched the internet for all-electric minivehicle based on the reference in the article but came up empty. If you could find something online let us know.

Ah, I see. Looks like another kei car we won’t see outside Japan.

My bad, I misread/misunderstood. Always in a mad rush during the week!

Anyway, I decided to copy a photo of the new eMitsubishi-Nissan from the website Space Wolf posted. What a funny looking car. To me it looks like a small van. And honestly I always thought small vans are an extremely great idea for a vehicle, practically speaking.

I guess Mirage's concept was like what, 2009/10/11? So this one looks super futuristic in comparison to our beloved Mirages.

It has (AFAIK) never been sold in Europe, but we had it's twin sisters Suzuki Wagon R+ and Opel Agila A. Those cars are really smal and narrow. Judging on the pictures, the 'new' Mitsubishi has about the same shape.
