I don't think I've ever seen 8.5 wide wheels on a Mirage before. You'd better like the "stretched" look if you're going that wide...
It's interesting to see some of the other Mirage wheels on that website. I like some of the 15x7 wheel combinations.

Now where I live - I find myself cleaning the packed ice/snow out of my wheel wells all the time. It really cakes up almost tight to the wheels, & that's with puny 14" wheels. If you don't keep on top of it, it freezes quite hard when the temperatures drop. It's more of an issue with my Mirage than my Forester. The wheel wells of my Mirage seem to really hold snow. Just something I've noticed compared to past cars I have owned.
I see that on some cars once in a while. This is a pretty common sight when it's snowing as well.

I have had the same experience with snow build up in the wheel wells, way worse in my Mirage than my old Ford Escort. Gotta keep up with it if Mirage is your daily commuter.
I wonder if bigger tires would make this even worse.
Edit sorry I just had a look at my cars wheel wells. And I must have pulled almost 10 lbs' worth of crusty snow in the shape of a Mitsubishi Mirage wheel well just now. 99% caked on the right front wheel.
I literally took the chunks and put them at the front of my driveway. I wouldn't even want to drive over these rocks.
I have to say having a double laneway is nice and convenient for snow removal in the winter even if you only have 1 car, and that car is a small Mirage. I could park 10 Mirages in my laneway the only material thing I brag about lol

I put on my stalker hat and looked up "American Freight" in the Twin Cities area. This car is actually on google maps street view between Can Can Wonderland and Menards. I was literally under University and Fairview doing some urban exploration yesterday...a few blocks from there. Now to find some more excuses to be in the area... https://www.google.com/maps/@44.9626...7i16384!8i8192

Fender rub big time! I got 7" rims. VW Beetle springs for the win.
