Thread: Engine suddenly wouldn't start, and then will

  1. #31
I guess ferd was behind the times. They still used a floor dimmer switch in the pickups until 1991(but maybe I'm retarded an it was earlier?). There's a 1995 Ferd med duty sitting outside with a floor dimmer switch too. They're fine when they work but they're prone to corrosion in these parts because winter.

What was this thread about again, Festiva's or something?

I am going to go with "flooded". How it got there is unknown as I was not present. The car seems to start and run fine now, so the two plausible scenarios are an intermittent electrical/fuel problem, or it was flooded. Simplest solution is flooded. I will eventually conduct a load test on battery, but for now all is fine.

I tend to doubt it. By the symptoms described, it kind of sounds like it was flooded.

If that's the case, we should ask Fauci what to do next time it happens. After all he's the highest paid official in the country. If you wear masks while driving your car, it won't happen again. Can't argue with science!

We don't need masks over here anymore(for the most part). Now everybody is gonna get the flu

Impossible to tell without a test. Acts fine now, I think it should go back to work.
