ES base model has way more options than my 2014 ES.
Now you have AC, auto climate controls, bluetooth, foglights, automatic headlights, body coloured door handles. Backup camera and screen stereo. Not sure about cruise control. I don't think so weirdly.
Canadian ES' still have roll down windows in the back lol

It doesn't have fog lights. Those are daytime running lights.

That's a cool lights setup, that is a step up from my Mirage.
My ground lights are just plastic covers that can be popped out if you added fog lights. Looks unfinished if you ask me. But that is what you get with a true ES bare bones.
My point is just what the reviewer says: the ES nowadays has a lot more perks than bare bones Mirages when they were first imported. I don't plan on doing any customizing, but I would like to have cruise and heated seats and steering wheel and I would like AC just for the odd day however I am used to no AC and dress accordingly those days.

I wish the base had cruise. For me, it's the only thing missing to make it perfect *for me*.

Cruise would be nice for sure. Not having power door locks is annoying. I'm always having to walk around my Mirage locking doors, and unlocking doors is having to go around from the front and unlocking. I just leave my hatchback door unlocked all the time. Half the time one of my back doors will be unlocked by accident.
My 1997 car before my Mirage had 2 keyfobs, had power locks, and had cruise.

It is such a shame that new 2022 mirage with manual trans does not have all power windows, I'm using it on daily basis !!
I'm so glad that I was able to find 2018 es manual with all the options I need.
