So, my '14 Mirage's evap leak returned... I'm at a loss.
I'm waiting for a phone call from my local Mitsu dealer.. I am pretty sure they don't want to deal with it anymore.

Just for S and G's, I re-read the thread, too. DS9 mentions a check engine light, but never gave an exact code. Johnny Mullett said he had the "same code" as did Top Fuel, but I can't find where the code was listed. So while everyone is trying their best to be helpful (as always), we may be chasing our tails and not realizing it. I like Fummins idea: lets full stop and start over and get as much data as we can.
Fummins: I have no code. I'm told the code is an evap leak. 1st the dealer replaced the gas cap, and the check engine light came back on after 2 days.
Then, the dealer did a smoke test, and that zero'ed in that the evap hose being loose. They tightened it, and 200 km's later, the engine light came back on. This is where I am today. I have spent approx. 15-20+ hours at the dealer, over 6 visits.
I understand that with evap leaks, it could be coming from many different spots (a la your Armada).
Eggman: I'm thinking about bringing my Mirage to trustworthy local garage and see if they can fix it.
I'm not sure what is the deal with the Mitsubishi 10 year powertrain warranty is, but it's like pulling teeth getting things fixed. Talking about pulling teeth, I gotta run to the Dentist now! I will keep y'all update.
AtomicPunk: I have access to a reader, but I did not buy a 10-year warranty Mirage to do any work myself. In theory now, what a joke the Mitsubishi warranty is.

Not defending the dealer but part of the problem with issues like this is how the technicians get paid. In the US (and I assume in Canada as well) automotive techs are paid on a "flat-rate" system. Basically everything you do as a tech has a specifc amount of time associated with it. That's what you get paid...no matter how long something actually takes.
Example: Let's say a brake job on a Mirage takes 1 hour according to the flat-rate system. If you get the job done in 30 minutes, you get paid for 1 hour of labor (cool!). If something goes wrong and it takes you 3 hours to do that same brake job, you're still only getting paid for 1 hour of labor (sucks!).
Now you roll in with the evap leak from hell that nobody can find. Well...chances are that the guy stuck with your work order is getting paid about 30 minutes of time to diagnose and find your problem. That guy is screwed. If he really wants to find your problem, it might take him a couple of hours. But if he's only getting paid for 30 minutes, he'll just take a quick look...make a guess at something, and then get your Mirage out of his bay so he can work on something where he can actually make money that day.
There are times where the flat-rate pay system doesn't incentivize techs to do what is in the customer's best interest. This may be one of those times.

LOL...sounds like Mitsubishi Canada may have some "challenges." My impression in the US is that the Tech Line only gets involved when the service department has an unusual problem or when they need prior approval for a warranty repair.
My local Mitsu dealer is primarily a Toyota store. But the main Mitsubishi tech has been there for 20+ years. No matter what I'm having done, I always ask the service advisor to make sure my car ends up in his service bay.
