I've read some many posts regarding the center console style arm rest. Does anyone know if the style that comes out of the side of the driver's seat like on a 2019 G4 LE and SE could be fitted to an ES hatch?

Yeah, I going to check with the parts department at the dealership. It would be cool. I've been in a 2019 Chevy Spark that had a similar fold down driver's seat armrest. It was nice.
I'm pretty sure it's a separate kind of seat.

I'll tear one apart in 4-5 years and post back what I find.

To be honest with you, I am quite fond of the factory center console/armrest in mine. It is a dealer accessory.
Were I to get a new Mirage in a higher trim level that folding armrest is the first thing I would remove.

How tall are you? Im 6ft and found the folding down arm rest isnt supportive at all. I was at the dealership the other day getting a reflash done on the G4 and test drove a Lancer and got inside the high trim Mirage, Eclipse cross, Outlander. I recommend ordering one off amazon and ordering an elbow buddy to go on top.

Its a little tight snapping your seat belt in but you get used to it. Elbow buddy is a must because the center console I ordered is too low for me.
