It's totaled. Glad you are okay.

Glad you're alright. Did the knee bolster airbag go off too? I hear those sting! Looks like an easy fix if it didn't crumple the frame rails that the bumper rebar attach to. These cars are pretty simple to repair. But parts are expensive and sometimes hard to find used. But it's likely a write off. Thankfully it wasn't your fault or the cars

Happy to hear you walked away.
Keep us updated on the insurance decision?
How are you getting around in the mean time?

Could you tell us the reasoning behind this comment?
It might just be me but how does writing off a car and handing me it's value in cash make one more greedy than spending up to the same value to fix my car?
In my case I think they would much rather fix my car because I'm insured for full new car replacement (no depreciation) for first 30 months.
Not trying to call anyone out. Just trying to understand.
Will weld for beer.

In my opinion it is because the shops are so crooked and dishonest in the USA that the insurance company has made computerized statistical calculations and cost projections with their consultants and concluded that it is cheaper to just cash you out then to depend on the shops to charge the repairs accurately.
The insurance industry makes almost all of their decisions based on math, statistics, probability. It reminds me of that good movie MoneyBall
