The black car is fully disguised so it's likely is a
test/prototype model.
They probably weren't happy with the performance of the wipers so that design evolved to our production design.

Is that the normal position of the bent wipers? Here in the philippines, we got the wipers shown on the 2nd pic (black car)
It is normal for US to have the bent version. Why, beats the hell out of me.
I'll have to get someone from home to import me a pair of the low wipers.
Same thing with the new Canada-only 2015 Nissan Micra -- passenger wiper sticks up. In some other countries, it doesn't.
I'll put it on the list of things to ask Mitsu USA.
