I am at my Mitsubishi dealer and a few of the guys told me there is no 2016 mirage , they will make the 2015 until January and then introduce the new 2017 mirage. Also they are giving me the 2014 mirage poster from the showroom

That's odd. Why not just carry the '15 over and call it a '16, like they carried over the '14 and called it a '15?
Unless there are anticipating production delays? That is the reason there was no 1983 Corvette.
Maybe the '17 is going to be all new, but that seems like an odd reason to skip the '16 model year...especially since they have been promising the sedan for '16.
If there is no 2016 model year, that shows to me, that the 2015 model year car is nearly perfect and there is no reason to improve any details. Of course especially in the US everybody is looking forward to the next model year. But working in the automotive industry, I know that yearly updates have to be made to patch or turn off trouble sources and to present some minor details, too, just to satisfy the wish of the consumers to have a newer/better car than the one of the last year.

Then why not just change nothing but the VIN numbers from the '15 to the '16 model year...but still HAVE a '16 model year? Why sell what's essentially a 2015 1/2 model? This is very weird.
I think the guys at this Mitsu dealership are right. Were there going to be a '16 model, we would be getting details on it by now...even if it were a carry-over.
It's July already!
