The Aisin BC5 is listed as being used in the Toyota Yaris/Vitz. Other sources show those cars using Toyota "C"-series transmissions, which are built by Aisin. So, I'm wondering if gearbox internals are interchangeable between Aisin built units?
The MTF capacity of those Toyotas is 1.9 L while Mirage has 1.6 L, I wonder if our MT are really identical.

I keep thinking about this thread and wondering about that holy grail taller 5th gear set.
Yes, I know we can theoretically get a taller 5th from the Euro-spec Mirage/Space Star.
But imagine if it was as easy as popping the external cover off and swapping in a gearset from a wrecked Yaris that you could find at your local junkyard.
