questions about front bumper ( advice for crazy front bike rack plan)

I am thinking of installing a bike rack to the front of my 2019 mirage es

right now the plan is to pull the front plastic.
and weld a nut into the right side (in blue)
that matches the left tow hook nut (in green)

then drill a hole in the plastic with a matching plug.

should be easy to go from there to a rack to hold a mountain bike.

since the left side is a tow hook point i assume there is plenty of strength for the steel bumper
to hold a bike on the highway...

( yes i have a trailer hitch but it is holding a 3 foot tool box for long trip storage)

other then a serious loss in fuel economy.. anyone see a fault with the plan?
    any advice?

i was also thinking to just go lower and fabricate something at the lowest point and not mess with the front grill and plastic?
